My goal as an artist is to continuously perfect my craft and elevate my skills within the creative field. My passion for art doesn’t stop at a blank canvas, it extends beyond the canvas and into the world of social media. With over three years of experience, I’ve worked with a variety of clients including start-up companies and small businesses. My focus is to help clients revamp their social channels with stimulating images, storytelling content, and social engagement all while using analytical tools. Here’s a look at some of my work!
sk.ArtSpace, LLC
The Project:
9 months, Social Media Editor
3 social platforms: Instagram, Facebook & Twitter
Overview: sk. Artspace is a space for local creatives & lovers of art to indulge in the culture & expand on individual crafts. I worked to help increase the brand awareness through marketing content, promotions, and campaigns by launching: Artist of the Month and Artists Talk, just to name a few.
Plan of Action:
Created daily postings with graphics, videos, and storytelling content to increase traffic engagement
Monitored the company’s calendar and pitched stories to sk. founders and team.
Assisted with video editing and social interaction during live events.
Researched and maintained information for collaborations with influencers in the art community.
Results:
Created a cohesive feed that boosted awareness for the account.
Oversaw all Sk. ArtSpace accounts, pulled traffic successes and failures using analytics, and grew it’s following to about 85%.

HBC, Hearst Black Culture

Overview: HBC is an affinity group under Hearst corporation celebrating the beauty, power, and strength within the black community. I worked and built the platform from the ground up. Responsibilities involved, but not limited to, executing and creating social media marketing plans using custom visuals, strong writing content, and social engagement.
Plan of Action:
Scheduled posts and measured traffic on Instagram and Twitter with Social Flow
Created and edited videos using Adobe Premiere Pro, covering events such as Black Girls Rock award show and Sony Music Entertainment event
Delegated tasks to the social team of four, written social copy, and published daily content 4-6 times per week
SheKnowsNow, Media Company
The Project:
6 months, Social Media Contributor
1 social platform: Instagram
Plan to Action:
SheKnowsNow is a media platform that produce confidence affirming content for millennial women. I focused on developing consistent content by collaborating with key influencers/bloggers to increase social presence on Instagram. Worked alongside founder, Tiffany Hardin, creating new ideas and innovative social programs to engage readers and reach new audience. In addition, I’ve written copy for feed and designed graphics/video with apps like Over, Canva, and VideoLeap.
